Q: Can the Evaluation Version be upgraded to a Full Version?
A: Yes. After we receive payment for the Full Version license, you will get a confirmation email with instructions on how to upgrade your license. The upgrade process will keep all settings, documents, data and so on.


Q: How do I obtain an Evaluation license?
A: First, download the evaluation software. Then, follow the instructions in the Installation Guide, including the activation step which will generate your initial evaluation license.


Q: How can I extend my Evaluation license?
A: Please contact your sales representative or consultant. adenin TECHNOLOGIES is happy to extend you evaluation license to ensure a successful proof-of-concept phase prior to purchase. The license may be extended to include either additional weeks, additional users or both. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision.


Q: How does your licensing/pricing work?
A: We use a multi-tiered pricing structure, based on the size of your deployment.  Each tier is structured differently, taking into account the number of licensed servers, the number of licensed users as well as of full use seats.

Q: What is the difference between a Full Use license and a Read Only user?
A: Some licensing categories distinguish between a Full Use and a Read Only user.
The majority of your employees will be Read Only users. This means they mainly read information on the intranet, rather than creating it.
Full Use licenses are required for each user assigned to the following roles: Administrator, Content Editor/Manager, Workflow Designer, Application Builder and Workflow Participant.


Q: Can I add additional users to an existing license?
A: Yes, you may purchase additional users for an existing license.
The cost of the upgrade depends on which license category you hanve, how many and what type of users you wish to add and whether you're moving to a new license category. In general, you only pay the difference between the new license and the purchase price of your original license.


Q: How do I purchase IntelliEnterprise and obtain my permanent license?
A: Please submit a purchase order to sales@adenin.com and/or call your sales representative. In case you do not have one yet please call us and we will direct you to the required department.

Q: What does my Evaluation license include? What are the limitations?
A: Your evaluation license includes 20 users for 30 days. The Evaluation license includes all of the software functionality.



Q: Does my license include upgrades to future versions of IntelliEnterprise?
A: By maintaining a current Support & Update Subscription, you will always have access to the most current major and minor updates.  It is the Support & Upgrade Subscription status, rather than the license, that determines which version you are authorized to use.
Future changes to the license, such as adding users or changing to a new license category, only affects the original license and will not change your version status.



Licensing

Q: Which databases are supported?
A: We support MS SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008. For installations with less than 1,000 users the free MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition is sufficient.

Q: Which web browsers are supported?
A: We support MS Internet Explorer v6 or higher and Mozilla Firefox v2 or higher on all platforms.

Q: What are the minimum system requirements?
A: The basic recommended system configuration is:
  • Windows Server 2003 or 2008
running on server hardware (from any vendor such as Dell, HP, etc)
  • 2 GHz processor
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 40 GB hard drive space
  • SQL Server 2005
Consult with adenin TECHNOLOGIES sales or support staff to determine the best hardware configuration for your requirements (e.g. number of users, high availability configuration and so on).

Q: What operating systems are supported?
A: The server should be installed on Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 or 2008, running the IIS web server. Windows XP could be used for test installations as the XP web server supports only a limited number of concurrent connections.

Q: Can I install the product in a Hosted Environment?
A: You should check with your hosting service to determine if they will support installation of custom components, applications and Windows services.  In most cases, this is only supported when you purchase a dedicated server level hosting plan.

Q: Do you provide the source code for customization?
A: We provide the source code for XSL layout templates and a procedure to ensure that customized templates are retained when updates are installed.  We also offer numerous integration points for external applications, data sources and web content.

We do not provide the application source code to our customers, but we can negotiate to place it in escrow.

Q: What technology is your product built on?
A: The product is built on the Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 with some ASP and COM components.
